  • Is it necessary to have completed all the requirements of the doctoral degree by August 31st of the year in which I am applying for the fellowship?

Yes. It is a requirement.

  • Suppose I can’t get my doctoral diploma until after August 31st of the year I am applying for the fellowship?

Obtain and mail a letter from the registrar's office that states the date on which you completed all of the requirements for the doctoral degree.

  • Is it necessary to have obtained my doctoral degree in an APA-accredited program?

Yes. It is a requirement.

  • Is it necessary to have completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship?

Yes. It is a requirement.

  • If my doctoral degree is in Education with an emphasis in Counseling Psychology, am I eligible for the postdoctoral fellowship in Psychology.

No. Your doctoral degree must be in Educational Psychology. (If other than Counseling or Clinical Psychology.)

  • How fluent in a foreign language do I have to be to list it on the application?

If you can conduct professional services in a foreign language (i.e., intakes, psychotherapy, etc.), you should include it on the application.
